ShapeManaging Your Treatment Costs

Payment and Financing Options

When you come in for your initial consultation or checkup, it’s important to be prepared. Here’s what you need to do to ensure a smooth and efficient visit:

Bring Your Private Health Fund Card

Bring your Private Health Fund card to your appointment. The HICAPS terminal accepts all Australian insurance companies and health funds. We’ll swipe your card and perform a “HICAPS Quote” to show the contribution of your health fund and the remaining amount you need to pay.

Bring Medicare Card for Children

For children under 17 eligible for the Child Dental Benefit Scheme, bring your Medicare card. We’ll validate the remaining amount available for dental treatment, capped at $1,000 per child over 2 consecutive years.

Our Easy Payment Plans

If you can’t pay on the day, set up a payment plan. We offer Afterpay and Zip Money via apps or Denticare, which can be arranged at our reception. Your treatment quotation will break down costs per appointment to help manage payments.

Bakery Hill Dental combines advanced technology, patient education, and affordability.

Frequently Asked Questions

At your first visit, it’s important to bring your private health fund card if you have one. This allows us to process your insurance through our HICAPS terminal, which works with all Australian health funds. Additionally, if your child is eligible for the Child Dental Benefit Scheme, bring their Medicare card so we can verify the available benefits.

The HICAPS terminal allows us to directly process your health fund claims on the spot. Once you swipe your card, we’ll provide a “HICAPS Quote” that details how much your health fund will contribute to your treatment and the remaining balance that you need to pay.

If your child is under 17 years old and eligible for the Child Dental Benefit Scheme, bring their Medicare card to the appointment. We will check the remaining benefits, which are capped at $1,000 over two consecutive calendar years and can be used at any time during this period.

Yes, we offer several payment plan options to make your dental care more affordable. Your treatment costs will be detailed by appointment, and you can either pay on the day or choose one of our payment plans. We offer Afterpay, Zip Money, and Denticare plans, each designed to suit different needs. Afterpay and Zip Money require app registration, while Denticare can be arranged at our reception.

Afterpay and Zip Money are digital payment solutions that require you to download their respective apps and register your account. Once set up, you can pay for your treatment by tapping your phone at the end of the appointment. Denticare, on the other hand, is specifically designed for dental payment plans and can be set up at our front desk with a simple form.

During your first appointment, we can provide a “HICAPS Quote” by swiping your health fund card. This will give you an indication of how much your health fund will cover for the treatment and what portion will be your responsibility to pay.

Generally, payment for your treatment is due on the day of your appointment. However, the specific amount depends on your health fund coverage, any remaining Child Dental Benefit Scheme funds for eligible children, and your chosen payment plan. We’ll provide detailed cost information during your initial consultation.

If your treatment plan involves multiple appointments, the costs will be broken down by session. For example, Appointment 1 will cost X, Appointment 2 will cost Y, and so on. You can choose to pay at each appointment or arrange a payment plan that suits your needs. We’ll help you set this up during your initial visit.
